Bangladesh Bank has asked banks to stay open until 10pm on June 25 and 26 to make transactions for cattle merchants easier, just ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
Besides, according to a circular released by the Banking Regulation and Policy Department of the central bank on Thursday, bank branches and sub-branches near cattle markets in the Dhaka and Chittagong city corporation areas will remain open for 12 hours from 10am on June 27 and 28.
Muslims in Bangladesh will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on June 29.
