The Bangladesh High Commission in Australia's capital Canberra launched e-passport service on Saturday.
The Bangladesh High Commissioner to Australia, M Allama Siddiqui, inaugurated the e-passport program, reads a press release.
Director General (DG) of the Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP), Major General Md Nurul, was present at the inauguration ceremony.
In the event, the high commissioner hoped that the latest technology used in the e-passport would accelerate its credibility and acceptance and also improve the quality and reputation of Bangladeshi passports in the outside world.
