The Bangladesh Metrological Department has said the heatwave that is sweeping across parts of Bangladesh, including the capital Dhaka, will continue as rain is unlikely very soon.
A severe heatwave is battering life in Khulna division, and Dhaka, Faridpur, Manikganj, Rajshahi, Pabna and Patuakhali districts, said a BMD bulletin.
Besides, a mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping across the remaining parts of the country.
The season's highest temperature in the country was recorded in Chuadanga at 41.7 degrees Celsius on Friday.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged, and the Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies over the country.
