Bangladesh Army patrol team on Thursday detained a man for crossing the Padma Bridge on a motorcycle, defying government directives.
Khaled Mafhuz, 22, was arrested from the bridge’s Zajira point at around 11am, reports Bangla Tribune.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Padma Bridge South police station Sheikh Mostafizur Rahman said Mahfuz managed to cross the bridge without paying tolls from the Mawa point.
“He has been handed over to police. We will take legal action against him for disobeying government orders,” the OC added.
