The banks will remain open on Saturday to ensure smooth travel management for Hajj passengers.
On Friday, Bangladesh bank issued an order instructing all banks to keep and adequate number of branches in the districts and upazilas.
The order comes following a finance ministry instruction at the request of the religious affairs ministry.
Last week, the banks remained open on a Saturday due to the same reasons.
This year, Hajj pilgrims will be able to carry $1,200 or equivalent foreign currency.
As many as 57,585 Bangladeshis will be making the holy pilgrimage this year among whom 4,000 will be travelling under government arrangements and the rest through private agencies.
After a two-year restriction due to the pandemic, this year, the Saudi Arabia announced that one million people will be able to perform Hajj. Among them, 85% of the pilgrims are from different parts of the world while the rest are from Saudi Arabia.
This year Hajj is expected to begin on July 8, subject to the sighting of the moon.
Despite earlier plans to operate Hajj flights from May 31, the date has been pushed to June 5 due to delays on the Saudi end.
