Another Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim, NM Monirul Hoque, 45, has died in Saudi Arabia, taking the death toll among Bangladeshi pilgrims this year to 16.
Meanwhile, 59,783 Bangladeshi pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj, according to the latest Hajj bulletin of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Monirul, a resident of Tejgaon in Dhaka, died in Makkah on Saturday. He had travelled under private management.
Of the 16 deceased pilgrims, 12 were men and four were women. Twelve died in Makkah and four in Madinah.
So far, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has operated 78 Hajj flights, Saudi Airlines 54 and Flynas Airlines 22.
Subject to moon sighting, the holy Hajj is expected to be held in Saudi Arabia on May 26.
A total of 78,500 Bangladeshis are scheduled to perform Hajj this year. Of them, 73,935 will perform Hajj under private management, while 4,565 will go under government management.
The first Hajj flight departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on April 17 at 11:57pm after the flight operations were formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
Outbound Hajj flights are scheduled to continue until May 21. Return flights will begin on May 30 and continue until June 30.
