Nighttime temperatures across the country will gradually rise in the next three days, the Bangladesh Meteoritical Department (BMD) has forecast.

For the time being, a mild cold wave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Panchagarh, Kurigram, Jessore and Chuadanga districts and it may continue, the BMD said in its 9am weather bulletin on Wednesday.

The weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies in the country, the Met Office predicted.

Besides, moderate to thick fog may occur at many places from midnight to morning and may persist till noon at some places, the BMD added.

The lowest temperature in the country on Wednesday was recorded at 8.7 degrees Celsius in Tetulia of Panchagarh and the highest on Tuesday at 28.8 degrees Celsius in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf upazila.
