Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Thursday proposed to reduce business turnover tax for individual taxpayers for the upcoming fiscal.
This came as part of the proposal for next fiscal's budget at the national parliament.
In order to reduce the tax burden on individual taxpayers who are involved in business, the minister said: "I propose to reduce the rate of business turnover tax for individual taxpayers to 0.25% from 0.50%."
The minister also remarked on the government's commitment towards promoting a business friendly environment.
