Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, said a Met Office release on Thursday.
Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Kishoreganj and Comilla.
Day temperature may fall 1-2°C and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka and Khulna divisions and the regions of Rangamati, Noakhali, Feni, Srimangal, Rajshahi and Pabna and it may abate from places.
Country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded by 39.7°C at Rajshahi and the minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded by 20°C at Sylhet.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am on Thursday was recorded by 9mm at Sylhet.
