InterContinental Dhaka hosted the “Indian Food Festival” - a celebration of spices from India.
The food festival highlighted authentic local delicacies from all across India, in order to emphasize the unique flavours of the Indian cuisine.
Chef Hardev Singh Saini, chef at Crown Plaza Greater Noida, New Delhi, was a special guest at the festival. With a rich experience of close to four decades now, he brought his expertise in North-Indian preparations especially Dehlvi and Mughlai cuisine to Dhaka, read a press release.

Authentic dishes such as Andhra fish curry, Kerla style beef curry, methi murgh, Mangalorean Prawn Curry, and Hydrabadi Biryani, among others, were prepared at the festival.
The buffet spread also included a drink station, Delhi ke chat, a live dosa station, and a kebab tawa station. It took place at “Elements” - the hotel’s all day dining facility.
The food festival ran from March 29 to April 3, and was inaugurated by HE Vikram K Doraiswami, high commissioner of India to Bangladesh along with Kevin Wallace, general manager of InterContinental Dhaka and other high officials from both of the organizations.
