Dhaka Tribune Staff Reporter Kamrul Hasan has been elected organizing secretary of the Health Journalists of Bangladesh (HJB).
An HJB convening committee, which was formed for 90 working days, announced the 15-member executive committee for the next two years at a ceremony in Dhaka on Saturday.
Russell Ahmed of Jamuna Television and Himel Mahbub of DBC News were elected the organization’s chairman and general secretary, respectively.
The other committee members are Vice-President- Nazia Afrin (ATN News), Joint-General Secretary Rashed Limon (Somoy TV), Finance Secretary Falguni Rashid (Ekattor Television), Publicity and Publication Secretary Kamrul Hasan Shishir (Daily Porjobekhon), Office Secretary Risad Hasan (News 24), Information Technology and Training Secretary Tanvirul Islam (Dhaka Post), Legal Secretary Borhanul Ashekin (Channel 24), Sports and Cultural Secretary Mahmudul Hasan Parvez (Independent TV), and International Affairs Secretary Tabibur Rahman (NewsBangla24.com).
Besides, the three executive members are Smriti Mandal (ETV), Muhammad Shafiullah (Banik Barta), and Saiful Masum (Sarakhan.com).
