Two additional attorneys general have resigned from their posts, just three days after the appointment of Attorney General AM Amin Uddin.
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Sunday, Murad Reza and Momtaz Uddin Fakir said they submitted their resignation letters to President Md Abdul Hamid citing personal issues.
Momtaz Uddin enrolled as an advocate on July 4, 1988, and got the membership of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on December 24, 1988.

Murad Reza enrolled on December 27, 1989, and got the association membership on September 10, 1990.
Earlier on October 8, President Abdul Hamid appointed AM Amin Uddin, senior advocate of the apex court and current SCBA president, as the new attorney general of Bangladesh.

Amin Uddin succeeded Mahbubey Alam, the longest serving attorney general of the country, who passed away due to Covid-19 on September 27.
Pro-Awami League White Panel candidate Amin Uddin was elected president of the Supreme Court Bar Association in 2019 and 2020.
Amin enrolled as a lawyer on October 28, 1989, and got his membership of the association on February 2, 1990.
