A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has brought back 415 Bangladeshi nationals from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Biman spokesperson Tahera Khondoker confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Wednesday.
The returnees had been stranded in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) due to travel restrictions imposed by the Saudi authorities to contain the spread of Covid-19 infection.
The flight arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka from Dammam airport at 8:20am on Wednesday.
All the returnees held construction jobs in Saudi Arabia and were sent into home quarantine after thermal screening at the airport, a health official at the airport said.
On Tuesday, 418 Bangladeshis returned to Dhaka from Saudi Arabia by a special chartered flight of Biman.
A total of 2,469 Bangladeshi nationals have returned home from Saudi Arabia between June 21 and July 22.
