Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock at the deadly terrorist attack in the northern English city of Manchester.
"We strongly condemn such a barbaric act," Hasina said in a message to her British counterpart Theresa May on Tuesday.
"On behalf of the government and the people of Bangladesh, I extend deepest condolences to you and the people of the UK. Our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families at this difficult hour," the premier was quoted by UNB as saying.
At least 22 people, including some children, were killed and 59 were wounded when a suicide bomber struck as thousands of fans streamed out of a concert by US singer Ariana Grande in Manchester on Monday.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the deadly attack and said it was carried out with an explosive device planted at the concert.
