Museums, archeological sites closed over coronavirus

In an attempt to curb the Covid-19 spread in Bangladesh, the Deparment of Archeology has decided to close all archeological sites and all of its 17 museums.

The Covid-19 pandemic has claimed one Bangladeshi life and more than 8,900 globally.

Three new Covid-19 cases — one woman and two men— have been confirmed  in Bangladesh, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 17.

The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) disclosed the matter on Thursday.

Of the total 17 patients, three were earlier released upon recovery while one died on Wednesday.

Around 219,351 have been infected by Covid-19 worldwide while 85,749 people have recovered from it.
