Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations for Tuesday have been rescheduled following the cyclonic storm ‘Bulbul’ which lashed the coastal districts of Bangladesh on Sunday.

MA Khair, public relations officer of the Education Ministry, has said that JSC examination scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, will now be held on Thursday, November 14 from 10am while the JDC examination from 9am on Friday, November 15.

Earlier, JSC and JDC examinations scheduled for Saturday, November 11, were rescheduled for November 12 and November 14 respectively, reports UNB.

Besides, the cyclone forced the authorities concerned to postpone Monday’s JSC and JDC examinations. These tests will now be held on November 13 and November 16 respectively.

Due to the powerful cyclone, the Education Ministry on Friday night deferred JSC and JDC examinations, scheduled to be held on Saturday, to November 12 and November 14 respectively.

Meanwhile, the National University (NU) authorities have also postponed all the examinations scheduled for Saturday. NU will announce a fresh schedule for the examinations very soon.

The cyclonic storm ‘Bulbul’ lashed over the coastal district of Bangladesh on Saturday night leaving a trail of destruction uprooting trees, damaging dwelling and croplands.

At least four people have lost their lives while thousands of houses were razed to the ground during the havoc. The authorities concerned have evacuated some 2,106,918 people to safer places.
