Labour MP Afzal Khan to visit Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar

UK Member of Parliament Afzal Khan is en route to Bangladesh to visit the Rohingya camps in Bangladesh.

He made the announcement via a tweet on his official Twitter account.

In the tweet, the MP said he would be travelling with the Rafay Mussarat Foundation to the Rohingya refugee camps to distribute supplies among the displaced people.

Over 700,000 Rohingyas have fled to Bangladesh following army persecution in the Rakhine state of Myanmar which began on August 25, 2017. 

Mohammed Afzal Khan is a British Labour Party politician who serves as a member of parliament for the Manchester Gorton constituency following his election on June 8, 2017. He is also serving as the shadow immigration minister.

He was a member of the European Parliament representing North West England from 2014 to 2017.
