The Public Relation department of Election Commission has informed that the outgoing CEC will address the press briefing at the media centre of the Election Commission Secretariat.
Earlier, the outgoing CEC met President Abdul Hamid at his official residence Bangabhaban at around 3:30pm on Tuesday.
At 11:15am, the CEC visited the National Memorial in Savar to show respect to the martyrs.
After that he said: “We have done our duty with sincerity. We hope the new commissioners will perform their constitutional duty with transparency and cordiality.”
The other outgoing commissioners Brig General (Retired) Jabed Ali, Md Shah Nawaz, Mohammad Abu Hafiz and Mohammad Abdul Mobarak were also present with the CEC throughout the whole day.
