A three-day countrywide fair titled “Development Fair 2018” is set to kick off on Thursday.
The fair will highlight the government's development efforts and achievements made so far in its journey towards making Bangladesh a middle-income country by 2021 and a developed one by 2041.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the fair through a video conference from her official residence, Ganabhaban, in Dhaka on Thursday morning.
Similar fairs will also be held abroad so that Bangladesh nationals, now living abroad, can also know about the government's development efforts and its achievements.
Bangladesh missions abroad will host such fairs at their convenient time, according to the Ministry of Information.
