Doctors say they expect Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq, who is undergoing treatment at a London hospital, to make a full recovery within the next two months.
The DNCC mayor's condition has been improving gradually, his personal assistant Mizanur Rahman said on Thursday.
“Doctors are hopeful about his recovery within two months,” he told UNB over phone.
Meanwhile, Annisul’s family members met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is now in London, on Wednesday evening, Mizanur said.
As the prime minister is also ill, she could not visit the mayor at the hospital, he said quoting the family members.
Hasina enquired about Annisul’s condition from his family members, Mizanur said, adding that she wished him an early recovery.
The mayor is now undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in London, according to family sources.
