The injured are police constables Mohammad Ismail, 38, and Mohammad Shahin, 39, Matiranga Upazila Land Office Chainman Barendra Tripura, 45, Tulshi Rani Gosh, 45, and Pallob, 10.
Additional Superintendent of Police Md Roichh Uddin said: “The gas cylinder exploded while they were using it to fill air in balloons around 7am on Friday. The injured had gone there for Victory Day celebration.
“The police constables and Borendra Tripura were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital while the rest were admitted to Khagrachhari Sadar Hospital.”
