Teenager tortured to death in Narayanganj

Md Yamin, the 17-year-old son of Shahajahan Miah, died following the incident at BR Spinning Mill on Wednesday night. Sonargaon SI Abdul Alim told the Dhaka Tribune that the teenager succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. “We heard that a worker of the spilling mill named Rayhan pumped air through Yasin’s rectum while cleaning cotton from his body on Wednesday night. We are questioning him,” he said. It would be the third such killing in Bangladesh in the last 18 months. A child named as Md Rakibul Islam was killed on August 13 of last year when three adults pumped air through his rectum in a garage in Khulna city’s Tutpara area. And on July 24 this year, a 10-year-old boy named Sagar Barman was killed in the same manner at Zobaida Textiles in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district.
