A federal lawsuit was filed in New Jersey earlier this month as a washing machine exploded in Georgia. The lawsuit also alleges that the company is trying to gather and destroy all evidence that might condemn them.
The explosion cause significant damage to the household.
ABC News reported one Melissa Thaxton, 32, owner of said washing machine described the experience to be terrifying.
She added: “I just remember covering my head and leaning towards my son and just screaming this scream that I didn’t even know I could scream.”

A spokesperson for Samsung said: “In rare cases, affected units may experience abnormal vibrations that could pose a risk of personal injury or property damage when washing bedding, bulky or water-resistant items.”
This comes as a resounding blow to Samsung as the worldwide recall of Galaxy Note 7 smart phones over battery explosions are still fresh.
Samsung earlier announced that it had successfully replaced 60% of all the unsafe Galaxy Note units.
