Popular actor Pori Moni was rushed to a hospital from the sets of director Arannya Anwar's latest feature film "Ma."
The actor confirmed the news to Bangla Tribune on Thursday, January 27. "I am at the hospital. I have no other updates as of this moment," she said.
Pori Moni was all set to start her maternity leave after completing the filming of "Ma." But on Wednesday morning, she started feeling sick and experienced mild Covid symptoms.
When her health deteriorated at midnight, she was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka. Pori Moni's husband and actor Sariful Razz accompanied her.
The couple formally tied the knot at their Banani home in front of family members, friends and colleagues on Saturday, January 23.
Pori Moni has recently finished filming Giasuddin Selim's "Gunin" and Chayanika Chowdhury's "Kagojer Bou."
She is also running as a candidate of Ilias Kanchan and Nipun's panel for the Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association elections, which will be held on January 28.
Pori Moni plans to take an 18-month maternity leave for her first born.
