24-hour gas supply shutdown in Savar, Ashulia

Gas supply will remain suspended for 24 hours in most areas of Savar and Ashulia from 8am Friday to 8am Saturday for pipeline relocation work related to the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway project.

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited announced the outage in a notice issued on Thursday.

The suspension is required for “tie-in” work to relocate existing gas pipelines along Ashulia Road.

The affected areas include both sides of the road from Ashulia Bazar to Baipail, Dhaka EPZ, Malancha Power Plant, Beximco DRS (Beximco Industrial Complex), Kashimpur, Sardaganj, Haji Market, Sreepur, Chandra, Chandra Mor, Nabinagar, Savar town, Savar Cantonment, Ulail, Bank Town, Savar Radio Colony, Kalma, Dosaid, Kumkumari, Akran, Charabag, Baro Ashulia, Tongabari, Kathgora, Jirabo, Gazirchot, Nayapara, both sides of Dewan Idris Road, Nayarhat, Bolibhadrapur, Pallibidyut, Dendarbar, Bhadail, Latifpur, Manikganj and adjacent areas.

Gas supply to all categories of consumers in these areas will be suspended during the period. Consumers in surrounding areas may also experience low gas pressure.

Titas Gas apologised to consumers for the temporary inconvenience.
