Khelafat Majlis: Corruption-free leadership essential for Bangladesh's development

Dr Ahmad Abdul Kader, secretary-general of Khelafat Majlis, has said that establishing honest and corruption-free leadership is essential for ensuring Bangladesh's sustainable progress and overall development.

He emphasized that the people of Bangladesh would unitedly thwart all conspiracies against independence, ensuring the country moves forward without being suppressed.

He made the comments on Friday during a rally and gathering organized in front of the National Press Club to mark the 35th founding anniversary of Khelafat Majlis.

Dr Ahmad Abdul Kader said: "India is troubled by the downfall of the fascist Hasina. The Indian government does not want us to live in peace or with independence. But we are a free nation, and just as we achieve independence through sacrifice, we will protect it in the same manner. On the issue of independence, citizens of all political, religious, and ethnic backgrounds in Bangladesh are united."

He further said: "Over the past 16 years, the fascist Hasina regime has laundered thousands of crores of taka abroad. Now, she is conspiring to incite religious riots in the country with the support of the Indian government. However, such conspiracies will not succeed, as Bangladesh is traditionally a country of harmony."

Joint Secretary-General Professor Abdul Jalil said: "If there is an attempt to undermine Bangladesh's sovereignty, India itself will collapse into fragments."

Following the assembly, a rally was held. It started with the National Press Club, passed through the Paltan intersection, and ended at the Dainik Bangla intersection.
