Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) Nayeb-e-Ameer Muhammad Faizul Karim on Saturday said that his organization has a great opportunity ahead.
He mentioned that it would be disappointing if they fail to capitalize on this chance.
He said: “We have a fertile field ready for Islami Andolan. If we can not have a good harvest, then it will be a sorrow for us.”
He made these remarks during a conference in Dhaka on Saturday.
Faizul said: “There are some elements that have been added to the school curriculum that falsely depict the history of Islamic scholars and their contributions. These elements were added as a blueprint (of agenda setting) for the future generations.”
Faizul remarked that these elements were added as fuel for hatred against Islam and destroying Islamic values from the children.
According to Faizul, when Islamic Andolan Bangladesh and other organisations protested these elements, some were changed. “However, the new education commission does not have a single Islamic scholar. Many people there are controversial,” he added.
Faizul said: “We have made a massive contribution to new independence, which was achieved on August 5. But we did not get any appreciation for that. Because they are still aiming to benefit from our work.”
Faizul urged the Islami Jubo Andolan Bangladesh to get back on their feet and teach them a lesson.
Mawlana Muhammad Neser Uddin, president of Islami Jubo Andolan said: “We want an end to extortion, tender snatching, and muscle power based politics in this country. For these reasons, we brought down the dictatorship of Hasina.”
He added: “Thousands of members of the Islami Jubo Andolan have participated in this movement, and suffered many casualties. Thus, no one will be allowed to extort or carry out terrorist activities in this country. We will be at the forefront of rebuilding the country under the direction of Pir Saheb.”
