The ruling Awami League will hold a discussion meeting at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital on December 10.
Now the party planned to arrange the meeting as permission was not received for holding a rally at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram mosque on the day.
Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League will arrange the meeting, said Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League office secretary Riaz Uddin Riaz confirming the matter.
He said that permission was not received for the rally of Dhaka Metropolitan Awami League on the occasion of International Human Rights Day on December 10.
The meeting will be held at Shilpakala Academy at 10am on that day.
Earlier, Awami League wrote to the divisional commissioner and returning officer on Sunday seeking permission for the rally on December 10.
But the election commission did not allow the Awami League to hold a rally due to legal reasons.
The ruling Awami League will not be able to hold its previously announced rally at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram to mark Human Rights Day on December 10 as it has failed to get permission from the Election Commission, said General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Tuesday.
