Two offices of Awami League in Sadar and Shahjadpur upazilas of Sirajganj were attacked and vandalized, occurred on Wednesday.
In this incident, a case has been filed against 150 unknown people, mentioning the names of 14 BNP leaders and activists of Sadar upazila. On the other hand, it is said that preparations for the Shahjadpur case is underway.
Shahjadpur Police Station OC Nazrul Islam Mridha and Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Suman Chandra Das confirmed this matter.
Both the office of the Garadaha Union in Shahjadpur Upazila and the Awami League office in ward no 6 of Kalia Haripur Union in Sirajganj Sadar Upazila are allegedly the targets of an attack on Tuesday night by BNP leaders and members.There were a few cocktail bombs found there.
In this incident, Zakir Hossain, the president of ward number 6, filed a report with the police station in the names of 150 unidentified individuals, mentioning the names of 14 Sadar Upazila BNP leaders and activists.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of the Shahjadpur police station, said: “Preparations are being made for the case involving the vandalism of the Garadaha office of the Union Awami League. There were a couple hand grenades found there.”
Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Suman Chandra Das said that a case has been filed in the police station regarding the vandalism of the ward Awami League office. Five hand grenades were recovered from the spot.
