Body of municipal Jubo Dal leader recovered in Bandarban

Police recovered the body of a local Jubo Dal leader from a mountain stream in Bandarban town on Sunday morning.

The deceased, 38-year-old Sharif, was the joint convener of the Municipal Jubo Dal's Ward 9 unit and worked as a mason. He was the son of Zahir and a resident of Talukdarpara in the town.

His bloodied body was found in a stream in the Kasaipara area of the district town.

According to police and local residents, people heading to work on Sunday morning spotted a man lying in the stream with blood on his body. His nose and mouth were bleeding. They informed the police, who arrived at the scene, recovered the body and took it to Bandarban Sadar Hospital.

Locals suspect that Sharif may have slipped and fallen into the stream while descending towards it, resulting in his death.
