13 injured in clash between protesters and Awami League activists in Naogaon

Protesters in Naogaon clashed with Awami League activists, leading to 13 injured on Saturday.

The protesters, demanding the implementation of nine-point demands—including actions against the murder, abuse, and mass arrest of quota reform activists—initially blocked a road in the city.

Students from various schools and colleges gathered at Kazir Mor around 11:30am, blocking the road and chanting slogans against the government.

Despite the rain, they marched to Mukti Mor around noon and blocked the road again for a brief period.

The demonstration later moved to the area in front of the Awami League party office at Sorizaha Hatir More, where the students accused the Chhatra League of attacking them.

In response, Awami League activists claimed that the students had vandalized their party office and vehicles. The resulting altercations between the two groups led to injuries on both sides.

To manage the situation, law enforcement agencies, including police, BGB, and RAB, were observed maintaining a vigilant presence to prevent further disturbances during the protest.
