At least seven people, including a member of the Bangladesh Navy, sustained injuries when a microbus overturned near the Bangabandhu Tunnel at the Anwara point in Chittagong on Tuesday.
The injured are tunnel security official and navy member Gazi Mahbubur Rahman Roni, microbus driver Rubel, and passengers Ali Mortuza, Rashedul Islam, Farhana, Munna and Kanti.
The accident took place on the approach road at the Anwara end of the tunnel at around 6am, said Mohiuddin Ahmed, an inspector at Anwara police station.
Roni was taken to Combined Military Hospital and the others were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
The inspector said the microbus, travelling from Cox's Bazar, was impounded.
