As many as 50,000 prepaid gas metres from Jalalabad Gas Transmission and Distribution System Limited (JGTDSL) are set to be installed soon for Sylhet residents.
The process of installing the meters will begin as soon as all other procedures have been completed, JGTDSL authorities said at a press briefing held on Thursday.
Director (Finance) AKM Benjamin of Petrobangla spoke as the chief guest, while Engineer Shoaib Ahmed Matin, managing director of JGTDSL presided over the event.
Speakers at the event said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's dream is to build "Shonar Bangla" and make Bangladesh a country free of hunger and poverty. In order to fulfill the dream, bribery and corruption must be eradicated from the country.
Each organization in the country has formed an ethics committee to implement to provide genuine services to the people of the country, the speakers noted.
The speakers further mentioned that JGTDSL is a service-oriented government organization, and they are committed to providing the best service to the citizens of Bangladesh.
