There is no scope for BNP chief c to go abroad for advanced treatment, even if the BNP requests a hundred times, Law Minister Anisul Huq has said.
“There will be no exception to the law,” he said while addressing a program at Kasba Upazila on Friday.
Claiming that Khaleda was out of jail due to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s generosity, Anisul said: “There were two conditions to her release – she will stay home and she will not go abroad.”
He said: “The government did not intervene though she was taken to hospital thrice.
“The BNP chairperson went to a private hospital saying that she will not get treated in the state-run hospitals.”

The minister added that the government had arranged everything to cure her and send her home including bringing in foreign equipment and medicines.
“Then why does she need to go abroad?” he asked.
“If she goes abroad, those who want to send her out of the country will become master conspirators,” the minister observed.
“They want to defeat Sheikh Hasina’s government and insult the Bangladeshi people by accepting foreign slavery,” he said.
Slamming BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, he said: “He wrote letters to a US lawmaker saying that if the people of Bangladesh become rich, your interests will not be protected. He did not talk about the hardship of the people but spoke in favour of the protection of American interests.”
‘Edible oil prices to dip soon’
The prices of essentials would come down very soon due to various initiatives taken by the government, the minister said on Friday.

He also said: “If there is a need to amend the law, the government will try to do so as soon as possible for the sake of the (district council) election.”
