Clashes broken out between two groups of the Chittagong University (CU) Chhatra League on Wednesday.
However, no casualty was reported in the clash.
Clashes took place at Suhrawardy Hall of the university on Tuesday night among the two groups. On Wednesday night, the same groups engaged in another clash.
According to witnesses, two cocktails exploded at the time.
University Proctor Dr Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan said there was a clash between Vijay and CFC group supporters on the campus.
“Additional policemen have been deployed and they have brought the situation under control. We have not received any reports of injury so far,” he added.
Earlier on Tuesday, CFC members attempted to enter a concert staged by the Department of Economics on the occasion of Rag Day at the university's Sociology Auditorium.
However, they were blocked by Vijay group supporters, triggering the clash.
