Police have arrested a man on charges of raping his eight-year-old daughter in Sonagazi upazila of Feni.
Imam Hossain Miskin was arrested from Rajbari Sadar upazila early on Wednesday, Feni Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al Mamun told a media call.
Mamun said Imam raped his daughter in their home in Chardarbesh area of Sonagazi on January 27 and had been on the run since then.
Later, Imam’s wife filed a case against him in this connection on February 3, leading to his eventual arrest.
The accused is listed as a pirate by the home ministry. Besides the rape case, he is accused in 15 other cases for robbery, posession of weapons, extortion, kidnapping, etc.
