Additional Inspector General of Police (Additional IGP) Shafiqul Islam has urged all RMG workers to get vaccinated against Covid-19 and to follow the health protocols during work.
He made the remarks while inspecting the SQ Station factory of garments exporter group SQ Celsius Limited in Jamirdia area of Gazipur on Thursday.
Shafiqul Islam later inaugurated the free distribution of hand sanitizers and masks among the workers to raise awareness against Coronavirus.
The factory has a total of 17,000 staff and workers.
Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police (Additional DIG) AKM Awlad Hossain, Superintendent of Police (SP) of industrial police Mizanur Rahman and some other police officials accompanied him during the inspection.
During the inspection, factory advisor and former DIG Abu Musa Mohammad Fakhrul Islam, SQ Group General Manager (Administration) FM Niaz Elahi Khan, Head of SQ Station Shahriat Hossain, SQ Unit-2 General Manager (Operations) Taj Uddin Ahmed Tushar, General Manager (PTP) Ripon Mia briefed on the details of various departments of the factory.
