41 people, including six employees at the civil surgeon’s office, recently tested positive for Covid-19 in Noakhali district.
Of them, 10 are from Sadar upazila, 18 from Kabirhaat upazila, seven from Begumganj, three from Subarnachar, two from Companiganj, and one from Chatkhil.
“According to reports from Noakhali Science and Technology University, 10 people including six of our employees, have tested positive for Covid-19 in Sadar upazila,” said Civil Surgeon Dr Md Mominur Rahman around 10am on Friday.

“All employees of the office have been directed to remain in home isolation. Office work will be done from home. The others infected in the upazila will also be kept in isolation and tests will be conducted on those who came in contact with them,” he added.
As of Friday, the total number of people who tested positive for the coronavirus in the district stands at 275. Of them, 27 have recovered and four have died till now.
Of the other 244 people, 224 are in home isolation, 19 are being treated at Covid-19 dedicated hospitals in the district, and one has been sent to Dhaka for treatment.
