Chittagong University-bound shuttle train services have remained suspended after a faction of the Chhtara League called a strike and allegedly abducted the loco-master.
The strike comes as a consequence of a feud between two factions of Chhtara League on the campus on Saturday night.
Sholoshahar Station Master Tanmoy Chowdhury told Dhaka Tribune: “No shuttle train left the station for the university as the loco-master was kidnapped on Sunday morning.
Later, the loco-master was released after Chittagong University authorities held talks with Chhtara League leaders to normalize the tense situation prevailing in the campus.
Previously on August 31, several students were injued after two factions of Chhatra League locked in a clash on the university campus.
