Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) will launch a day-long crash program across the Chittagong division, including the port city, to eradicate the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes.
“The mosquito eradication program will be conducted at all government offices, educational institutions, businesses and households from 10am to 5pm on Thursday,” said CCC Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin, while addressing a coordination meeting at the Chittagong Circuit House on Tuesday.
Representatives from government agencies, public and private hospitals and NGOs participated in the meeting, chaired by Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Abdul Mannan.
Chittagong division and Chittagong district administration jointly organized the meeting, to take a united plan of action in the wake of the deadly dengue virus outbreak.
