A man named Ariyan Shrabon is put on a five day remand by the Court in connection to Rifat murder in Barguna.
Barguna Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) and the investigating officer of the case Humayun Kabir have confirmed the matter.
A judge granted the five day remand of the suspect when he was presented to Barguna's Senior Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Sirajul Islam Gazi on Monday (July 8) at 4 pm.
Barguna Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation), and the investigating officer of the case Humayun Kabir said: "The police arrested Ariyan Shrabon on Monday dawn suspecting that he is involved in Rifat's murder. Later, the judge granted a five day remand, when a seven day remand was applied for, at 4 pm. We will question him in police custody as per the direction of the court."
So far, five accused were put on police remand in this case. Six people have already given confessional depositions.
