Abdun Nur, prime accuse of a gang rape case, has been killed in a reported gunfight with rival gang members in Anwara upazila of Chittagong district.
Anwara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Dulal Mahmud said: “We recovered his [Abdun’s] bullet-riddled body from Anwara Economic Zone on Sunday morning.
“He probably died in a gunfight with rival gang on Saturday night.”

The OC said the body will soon be sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Morgue for autopsy.
Abdun Nur, 25, was accused in three cases, including mugging.
A 20-year-old woman was gang raped at Chowmuhoni area of Anwara upazila on July 3.
