Awami League nominates Ekramul Titu in Mymensingh mayoral race

Ruling Awami League has nominated Ekramul Haque Titu as its mayoral candidate for the first Mymensingh City Corporation election.

The decision came after a meeting of the Awami League central working committee at Ganabhaban on Friday.

The Election Commission has announced that the new MCC will hold its first election on May 5.

According to the schedule announced by the election officials, candidates will have until Monday to submit their forms, the nominees will be scrutinized on Wednesday and candidates will have until April 17 to withdraw.
