Photography exhibition on global warming begins at RU

A three day long photography exhibition on global warming and its effects in the last 16 years has started at Rajshahi University.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Mass Communication and Journalism Department President, A Al Mamul, at the university library around 12pm on Sunday.

The exhibition titled “Carbon Kanna” will end on Tuesday and is open to all from 10am to 5pm every day.

Forty one photographs of Deen Mohammad Shibly of the 5th student batch  of the Mass Communication and Journalism Department, are being displayed at the venue.

The photographer said: “It has been a unique experience to take photos in the coastal regions of Bangladesh for the last 16 years.

I have tried to show people how global warming has affected the coastal regions of the country over the years.

Associate Professor of the Department, Mashiur Rahman, and Assistant Prof Dr Mahbubur Rahman Russell were present at the program, among others.
