Explosion at Narayaganj house, 2 injured

Two people have been injured in a blast at a building in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district.
The injured are Ibrahim, 21, and Aynal, 30.
Rupganj police station Sub-Inspector Rubel told the Dhaka Tribune: "The explosion took place around 3am on Friday. We think it was a bomb blast.
“The injured have been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. They sustained 50% burn injuries in the explosion.”
The owner of the building – Comilla House – Abul Khayer came to Bangladesh from Kuwait to celebrate Eid with his family on August 22, reports the Bangla Tribune.
He said: “We woke up hearing the sound of the blast. When we went to the flat, we saw that Ibrahim and Aynal were burnt.”
Rupganj police station Officer-in-Charge Ismail Hossain said: “One side of the roof and a wall of the building collapsed after the explosion on the second floor of the building.
“The injured might have militant links. We have cordoned off the building.”
Three others – Maksud Alam, his wife Shahanur Begum and their daughter Maksuda—were also injured when a wall of the building collapsed on their tin-shed house after the explosion.
