The High Court has directed the government to publish a gazette notification containing safe food rules to implement the safe food act within two months.
An HC bench of Justice Mirza Hussain and Justice Khurshid Alam Sarkar passed the order responding to a writ petition on Sunday.
Deputy Attorney General Al Amin Sarker said he submitted a report on behalf of the food ministry in which it is said that safe food rules were in the final stage. The rules were sent to the law ministry for final approval.
The High Court ordered the law secretary to submit a gazette notification of the rules after getting the HC directives.
