Bangladesh recorded four deaths from coronavirus in the 24 hours till 8am on Monday with another 897 new infections being reported.
The positivity rate dropped further to 4.15% during the same period as 24,837 samples were tested across the country.
The latest data took the country’s total infections to 19,43,577.
On Sunday, the country logged nine deaths and 864 fresh Covid-19 cases.
On January 28, Bangladesh logged its earlier highest daily positivity rate at 33.37% reporting 15,440 cases and 20 deaths.
A total of 7,976 people recovered from Covid-19 in the meantime taking the total recovery to 18,14,665.
Of the deaths, two were reported in Dhaka and one each in Chittagong and Khulna divisions.
Of them, two were male and the other two female.
On December 9 last year, Bangladesh again logged zero Covid-related death after nearly three weeks as the pandemic was apparently showing signs of easing.
The country reported the first zero death from the coronavirus in a single day on November 20 last year along with 178 infections since the pandemic broke out in Bangladesh in March 2020.
Besides, the country registered the highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 last year, while the highest number of daily fatalities was 264 on August 10 last year.
