Bangladesh has reported no deaths from the coronavirus on Thursday, with 45 new cases logged in the 24 hours to 8am.
According to latest figures released by the health directorate, the overall caseload in the country now stands at 1,952,485 while fatalities at 29,127.
A total of 5,929 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 0.76%.
Another 369 people recovered from Covid-19 across the country taking the total recovery to 1,892,443.
The latest figures put the recovery rate at 96.92% and the mortality rate at 1.49%.
Globally, the overall number of coronavirus cases crossed 506 million amid a rise in new infections in parts of the world.
As of Thursday morning, the total case count mounted to 506,793,550 while the death toll from the virus reached 6,201,183, according to a tally by the Johns Hopkins University.
The US has recorded 80,801,505 cases so far and 990,206 people have died from the virus in the country, the university data shows.
India's tally rose to 43,047,594 on Wednesday, as 2,067 new cases were registered in 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry's data.
Besides, 40 more deaths from the pandemic were recorded since Tuesday morning, taking the death toll to 522,006.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
