Covid-19: One death, 44 new cases in 24 hours

Bangladesh reported 44 fresh Covid cases in the 24 hours till Monday morning, taking the total caseload to 1,952,109.

The country’s total fatalities rose to 29,124 with the death of a Covid patient during the same period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

On Sunday, the country logged 44 cases in 24 hours and no deaths, for the sixth consecutive day.

The daily positivity rate decreased to 0.71% from Sunday’s 0.80% after testing 6,234 samples during the period.

Besides, the mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.49%.

The recovery rate rose to 96.78% with the recovery of 590 more patients during the 24-hour period.
