Covid-19: Bangladesh vaccinates 50,752 people on Wednesday

The health authorities in Bangladesh on Wednesday inoculated 50,752 people against the contagious Covid-19 disease.

Of them, 29,157 were men and 21,595 were women, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With Wednesday’s inoculations, the health authorities have so far administered the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to 5,370,431 people across the country. Of them, 3,339,298 were men while 2,031,133 were women.

Only two of Thursday’s vaccine recipients experienced mild side effects. Till now, side effects in 933 people have been recorded.

As many as 6,802,442 had signed up to be immunized against the infectious disease till Wednesday afternoon.
